g&g top tech m4 recoil problem
16 December, 2013, 23:49
Hi Guys,
I have g&g top tech m4, for some reason recoil seems not to work anymore, when shooting it feels like any other aeg. It fires as usual but zero recoil.
Any ideas what could happen there?
Will probably strip it tomorrow to see if there is anything obvious.
Cheers,
Andy

Re: g&g top tech m4 recoil problem
On top of the gearbox is a small piston that attaches to the silver cover by a small circlip. When the gun fires, a small amount of air is forced out through a small hole in the gb. This moves the piston which moves the silver cover back and forth to simulate blowback. Something could be binding or come off.

G&G Don't make a recoil gun!
The G&G Guns are EBB, not recoil. Try a Marui recoil, then you'll understand the difference.

Re: g&g top tech m4 recoil problem
The bolt cover is very flimsy and can easily get bent out of shape, particularly when taking the gearbox apart.
It's quite easy to take apart, there is a YouTube vid that shows it step by step.

Re: g&g top tech m4 recoil problem
If it works sometimes like you have said then stealthkiller's post ^^ is very likely, they have a small o ring between the cylinder and the blow black piston. It could have broke, be misaligned or be warn and dry.

Re: g&g top tech m4 recoil problem
It's only cosmetic and has no relevence on gun performance, I wouldn't worry about it, now if you said your Marui recoil suddenly had no recoil then I would be worried.
