My M4 just stopped!
30 March, 2009, 12:14
Ok, so playing along as usual and it just stops...no screaching or anything, just stops.
i go back to the safe zone suspecting a flat battery, this isnt the case. Then i think wiring problem, but it cant be because when the trigger is pulled you can heard the motor trying to turn.
This suggests a gearbox problem...
Is the likelihood of pre-engagement very likely?
Personally i think it is because it has a ROF of close to 30RPS and is running at only 290FPS..
Any thoughts?..
(it has gone to gun doc today so should be fixed)
cheers,

Re: My M4 just stopped!
hey if you can hear the motor clicking in the pistol grip . it more then likely gearbox trip needs to be taken .
the antirevearsal switch needs to be moved back to its location
so basically you need to go in your gear box if your confidant enough because mech box has locked up

Re: My M4 just stopped!
Basically a mechbox lock up due to increased mechanical resistance. There is also the faint possibility of a poor contact not allowing enough power through to turn the GB. But the way it happened suggests mechanical failure. I'm sure your techie will have it fixed in no time.

Re: My M4 just stopped!
My bet's on a mechanical lock up, I.e the piston right back at the end of the shot, and the battery just doesn't have the power to turn the motor that last little bit to release the piston.
