How do you remove flash hider
23 January, 2014, 16:51
I am struggling to remove the flash hider on my g&g gr16 cqw rush
It turns maybe a full turn either direction then seems to lock
Any ideas?

Re: How do you remove flash hider
Have you removed the little grub screw on the side of the flash hider?

Re: How do you remove flash hider
This may sound daft - but no - I've tried a 1.5mm Allen but it's too small, 2mm too big
But - would it/should it still do a full turn even with that in place ?

Re: How do you remove flash hider
Probably shouldn't turn with the screw in, but if you want to remove it you will need to take he screw out first. Believe it is a 14mm counter clockwise thread so to undo it you should turn it right.

Re: How do you remove flash hider
If you unscrew the flashhider with the grub screw in you will never get another flash hider on there in this life!
Is your allen key worn at all? If it is try sanding the end of it flat. If it isnt, get another 1.5mm allen key - most allen keys are made to shocking tolerances!

Brand new mate bought set today - if anything I'd say the screw is really worn

Re: How do you remove flash hider
You can get metric or imperial sized allen keys. They are slightly different sizes, I'd suggest getting the set that's the opposite of the one you have
The smaller one may look the same as your current, but will probably fit.

Re: How do you remove flash hider
No probs. I've got one set that's black and another set that's a chrome colour. Don't ask me which is which - I have no idea. But I find that if one of them is too big/small a key from the other set will usually work!
