    Re: Accuracy help needed

Standard hop unit , so problem could be
    Hop rubber / bucking
Misaligned . Barrel / hop unit
    Dirty / scoured barrel
Have a look and check if hop barrel is centralized
Also check for torn damaged hop rubber .

When you say hop barrel centralized - do you mean the little groove / line lined up?

I have ordered a new bucking just in case

Might sound silly, but do you tend to hold the gun tilted slightly?

theres usually a thin groove that runs underneath the barrel the rubber has a lip that sits in that groove,to see if its all lined up properly you should look through the inside of the barrel, and push the top of the hopup down(arm of the hop),pushing onto the nub, which pushes onto the rubber, making an indentation inside the hopup unit, this bulge pushes onto the bb causing the backspin,if you look through the barrel at some light whilst pushing the hop up arm down you should be able to see if this bulge is central, and uniformed in shape

              Re: Accuracy help needed

Ok I'm thinking I may need new hop up unit

I have replaced the barrel, and the hop up rubber/bucking - and still after so far shots are curving to the right

When hop is full on and look down barrel it maybe does look like it's more pronounced on one side - maybe this optical illusion because that's what think it maybe I don't know - but I think I'll replace anyway

1 other thing I noticed - on YouTube videos the hop up unit has a number of orings - mine hasn't any I can see - is this right???

So - which to get - do I have to go for g&g hop up or could/should I go for another make ???

Can the hop unit twist when it's in place? If you poke your finger in the magwell can you move the hop feed tube left/right?

Do you have a collar ring that goes on the inner barrel and slides inside the front of the hop's 'muzzle'?

                Tried different mags/BBs?

Yes to all above apart from twisting

                      Right guys

So far I have replaced the barrel (for a mad bull tightbore) the hop up rubber and the bucking

And still the distance and accuracy are appalling

Shots always curl right, but now not much distance it's as if the hop up isn't putting any spin on - but if I turn it on full the shots jam

It's got to be the hop unit surely??????

                          Re: Accuracy help needed

Silly question but have you any pics of the hop setup you've got, and it has the nub fitted still as sounds weird that the hops not altering the path of the bb?
So possibly no nub, damaged hop arm (uneven pressure of rubber) or hop unit not centralised within itself?
What's the current setup you've got as some parts don't mix well with some others, but the consistent curve suggests hop issues with uneven pressure.
As for hops if it's a g&g then should have the plastic gr16 unit? If so they're not too bad with their green bucking (had good results from this and madbull tb). Also had good results with G&P metal hops.
Generally a good solid hop with no twist, flexing or bad moulding should be good it's the air seal between the barrel and bucking that makes it better (and preferably no excess vibration from the barrel and hop unit)

                            Re: Accuracy help needed

Try removing the barrel and taking the hop unit and rubber off. Put the inner barrel on a flat surface and roll it. This will eliminate a possible problem with the barrel being warped.
If it rolls ok then the problem lies with the hop unit/ rubber.
I had a similar problem with an ICS L85 after i installed a tightbore barrel and hop rubber.
It was curving ever so slightly. It turned out that the "C" clip thing that stops the barrel
Twisting too much wasn't sat properly.
Small things like that can be a pain in the ar*e
