G&P M14 EBR kit installation - Front Wiring

Hey all.

So just bought myself a G&P EBR kit and it should be arriving tommorow. It's just occurred to me however that of course the battery goes In the handguard and not to the rear like standard M14s. How will I get round it? Will it just be a case of extending the wire and having it run alongside the gearbox to the front inside the reciever? It looks like the EBR kit comes with some wire so I'm guessing this is it's purpose?
