Thats what the M14 goes like after two games lol. Sounds like a drill, just the motor going for it.
Haven't stripped it yet but I assume pinion gear is shot or the piston teeth are ground away. Any other guesses?
Suppose the best way is to strip it and look really! Just haven't got the time atm.

Is semi auto still functional (as in does it still cut off when you pull the trigger)
Any grinding noise?

not tried that actually, bit late now to play around with it with the family in bed but will have a go in the morning.
Not stripped down an M14 before and heard it was a fairly big job, so trying to get a diagnosis without stripping it too much

try the motor height, the allen screw under the motor, located through the hole in the grip.
