WE Katana upgrade advise

I have recently bought a WE Katana , I have the blue & the red cylinders for it .
Although I am impressed with the build quality of the gun and the Katana system as a whole , in game it does not perform as well as I would have hoped .
The range is not as good as I would expect , my g&g top tech & g&p sentry are better .
The accuracy is not very consistent either , I suspect the hop unit is the culprit . I get flyers every third or fourth shot and these can go left right up or down , no pattern .
I have tried different Buckings , the G&G green seemed to give the best results , it is still not as good as it should be .
I am looking for advise on what to upgrade , would an aftermarket hop unit yield better results ?
Or what else should I try ?

First thing I done with mine was a madbull black python tight bore madbull ultimate hop then trimmed the spring down (red) to get the fps to site legal worked out really well,also use a kong burst wizard set to semi and three round burst
