G&G M14 low fps help?

Hi lads
I have a G&Gm14 vet, it has the upgraded G&G piston and piston head. a twist inner barrel and tm hop rubber. with a guarder sp90 spring I only get 280 fps max I was looking for about 330 ish, any advice? I have a sp130 spring here also with that I get 400 fps max, would I be best cutting down the 130 or getting say a 110 spring? any advice welcome , as I said looking for the 330 fps mark.

p.s is most say cut the spring is it about 10-15 fps per coil?

Have you checked all the air seals?

I seem to have no compression, so maybe new cylinder?

Well seeing as a M90 spring should get you about 295fps I'd say you should get a sp100 and that should get you a lot closer.

Before you buy anything else, check your cylinder compression and barrel to hop connection for leaks first.

Try soaking your piston head orings in silicone. Failing that a larger oring. Ported piston heads and help a lot with this. Very rare you have to replace the cylinder itself.
