Motor Problem!
2 June, 2014, 17:53
My first pull of the trigger doesn't fully cycle the weapon and nothing happens? The second pull and it will fire? What's going on here? All I've done is out a new motor in! It was shooting fine yesterday with the new motor

Re: Motor Problem!
battery is too weak to turn over your new motor, it parts cycles it on the first pull and on the second pull it completes the cycle, what battery, motor, and connection are you using?

Have you over-adjusted the motor engagement?

Re: Motor Problem!
I'm going to try disengage the motor as much as a I can then go from there adjusting it.
And it cycles fine after the first trigger pull.

Re: Motor Problem!
I would strip the gearbox, check your shims and grease for good measure. If you're happy with that, start checking motor engagement. Have you corrected the AoE?

Re: Motor Problem!
Hi C-Dawg, are you doing a complete trigger pull each time? When you say the 'first trigger pull', do you mean the first after connecting the battery? Or the first pull after 5 mins?

Re: Motor Problem!
Yeah I'm doing a complete pull.
Okay so when I plug the battery in te first trigger pull does not fully cycle. After that it is fine.
If I use the forward assist, the first trigger pull after I've used te forward assist also does not fully cycle

May I ask what rifle this is? I thought that most forward assists were just for show?
