m27 iar flash hider

Can anyone tell me if the m27 iar flash hider can be removed ? I tried removing it and the barrel unscrewed so yiu can shorten it etc but I cant seem to get it off I know its a ccw thread like dunno weather that means the flash hider aswell

Does it have a grub screw underneath locking it in place? Get a small Allen key and remove that first. If there's no grub screw or it still won't come off after removing it the flash hider is probably glued on. Try dunking the end of the barrel in a cup of boiling water for several seconds - that will help loosen the glue.

Vfc are known for gluing the flash hiders in, its the same on the 416. Saw a video from the states of holding the barrel in a fire for a few minutes, but like above boiling water should do the trick

Yer thanks people ive got it off by boil ing it and loosing the glue
