TM Recoil locking up on single shot
21 June, 2014, 16:49
Hi,
Ive searched on here and elsewhere on the net but can't find any information regarding this.
I've got a TM recoil shock HK416 but have a problem with it locking up on semi.
Ive tried the TM SOPMOD batteries, a LiPo, the original recoil mags and my PMAGs with the adaptor and all seem to lock up after a few shots on semi.
this can be rectified by changing to auto and firing a couple then going back to semi.
Has anyone heard of or had this before? anyway to fix?
Thanks very much
Paul

Re: TM Recoil locking up on single shot
Swapped the spring in it?
Locking up is half cycling, are you letting go of the trigger too quickly

Re: TM Recoil locking up on single shot
The gun is only a week old so haven't touched it yet.
Possible i could be not holding the trigger long enough, ill see how it goes holding it for longer
Thanks

Re: TM Recoil locking up on single shot
Yes trigger discipline is key because of the extra work the gearbox has to do and it's relatively low power source. You can try and get a bigger battery in there. MOSFET. Etc anything to help make cycling more efficient and you will get more of a "leeway" when it comes to releasing the trigger before the gears have cycled.

I have the same problem on my 416D, Richardy - what mosfets are compatible with TM Recoils? Didn't realise they were at all!
Thanks

Re: TM Recoil locking up on single shot
You can email black talon concepts directly for an eta on there next gen specific MOSFET.
If you want normal fet, either a pico ssr or extreme fire micro fet will fit behind the gearbox, obviously you will have to wire it in. They truely transform the gun so even if you have to pay a gun tech to do it, it's probably one of the best upgrades you can do as it allows you to run smaller bats.

Re: TM Recoil locking up on single shot
If hed ever put enough up for sale I'd buy 100 of each no probs. not sure what the issue is, maybe he only does it in his spare time. The best thing players can do is just to email. The more interest he recieves for NGRS series the more chance of him making them next.
