Ares ump not firing in full auto but fires fine on semi

Hi iv just bought second hand an ares ump and it has a metal hop unit with extended barrel installed as far as I can see don't know if anything else has been done to it but it fires fine on semi but when it is switched to full auto nothing happens any thoughts on how to fix it?

You checked the selector plate?

As far as I can see it is fine but I haven't taken the gearbox out of the lower receiver or taken the gearbox apart as I have never done it before would that be most likely to be the cause do you think?

More then likely mate... It's the only thing I'm the gearbox that changes the fire rate and if it's working fine on semi it could be the selector plate or could be you ain't moving the leaver far enough for the selector plate far enough to engage full auto... I dunno if you get arking from the selector plate but could just need a clean... If your not confident taking the gearbox out find a good tech to service it for you...

Was thinking of sending to landwarrior or zero for services for both my umps

Just a word of advise bud your not allowed to mention other retailers on the forum as it's owned by zero one... But I hear they so have a decent tech department...

No worrys buddy glad I could help... I'd say go with zero one also as they know there stuff and are very reasonably priced
