Dboys AKS 74u Hand guard removal??
26 September, 2014, 19:08
This maybe a complete mongs question and ask a load before but google and youtube didnt help. Got a dboys aks 74u and want to fit my RIS handguard to it. I managed to get the top hald of the original would guard off but can't get the lower off. A video said push the lever (behind the forsight) down and the hanguard should just slide off, but mine stays solid.
Any help would be much appreciated, used to Armalites, so this is all new.
Thanks in advance
Regards

That sound's LCT like and you have to flip the lever 180 deg. Can you post a picture?

Re: Dboys AKS 74u Hand guard removal??
If you look on the right hand side of the lower handguard at the front there is a lever. The lever will be inside the handguard and pointing back towards the body. As said above lift it up and turn it 180 degrees. Push the metal part it is attached to forwards after this and pull the lower handguard forwards. Make sure you have removed the unjamming rod first as it runs through the lower guard.
