vfc scar electrical problems

I have a vfc scar h that has some electrical issues and I'm not sure if it's the battery or the gun, I'm no gun tech so sorry about the lack of knowledge but the black nozzle on the front of the gearbox doesn't cycle properly and so it doesn't feed correctly, it has a varying fire rate and ivertical just oiled everythema so it's not lack of lubrication, also today I noticed the battery gets extremely hot, the battery's I use worked in my old gun and for this one I had to buy a deans to tamiya convertor so it could be that but I'm not sure, does anyone know what it could be? Thanks.
