Just wondering if I need to buy the set to your or can I use a different spur and bevel gear ??

If you just buy the DSG Sector gear, you can use pretty much any bevel and spur as long they are between 18:1 and 16:1. I have done this with an SHS 18:1 bevel and spur with a DSG Sector Gear and it worked perfectly.

You can use the standard step/spur gear with the 20 tooth upper. Riots secotr gear also has 31 teeth as opposed to the standard 32 tooth sector gears found in a stock gear set. So if you were using the stock ratio Bevel and spur gears with the DSG, the final ratio would drop from 18.7:1 to 18.1:1.

you can use any 18:1 or 16:1 gear set provided the sector from that set has 31 or 32 step gear contact teeth.
