king arms m4 motor issue axnd selector switch
12 January, 2015, 10:43
Morning
Recently had a problem during a game when aeg stopped working. Tjought it was selector switch fault as when pulling it was clickig. on stripping down found that motor was jamming. Stripped down gear box amd found no issues. Then found that when motor was running just in my hand it was pulimg over 6 amps and sometimes would not even turn so need a new motor I think. Also found that the semi and full auto function not working correctly as switch is releasing when in full auto position so not continuin to fire
Does anyone know what current the motor should pull

Is this the stock motor with the black end bell, or the enhanced type with the red end bell? (both have grey cans)

A typical Airsoft motor on no load should pull a bit less than 5A. However, all motors are different.
