M4 - Remove Outer barrel from upper Receiver
30 April, 2010, 10:56
I have a G&P M4 and the upper receiver broke. I have bought a new one but I need to know, how do I get the barrel assembly off the upper receiver?

Re: M4 - Remove Outer barrel from upper Receiver
remove the front sight and gas tube , then use an AR spanner or if you get get 1 a rubber belt pipe remover and turn the barrel nut clockwise ( if you holding the body with the barrel away from you
it will be stiff but will move

Re: M4 - Remove Outer barrel from upper Receiver
looks like this is a G&G and the front sight cannot be removed.
Anyone have any ideas how I take out the gas tube?
