Longer barrel issues
30 April, 2010, 23:59
I've just put a tightbore barrel in my JG AU-2G. The original barrel was approx 6.08 by 509mm and the new one is 6.03 by 650mm. My question is, do i need to upgrade the original cylinder to account for the longer barrel? Also, if in the answer to this question someone could explain what a bore-up cylinder is used for and how it would affect the performance of the gun that would be great.
Cheers

Re: Longer barrel issues
The bore up kit gives a better seal and is meant to be used with a high power spring. I have used these myself with springs below 350 fps and they have been fine. As for the cylinder i think the AUG comes with the right cylinder for that barrel length. Cylinders arn't matched to every 50mm, they are matched more toward 100-150mm. Try it out and see how it goes. If it plays up get a new one

Re: Longer barrel issues
thanks for the quick reply. I'll give it a couple of skirmishes and see how it goes.
