    Hi not sure if this has been asked before but I have just bought a bag of aeg spring is there anyway to tell to them apart as there is every thing from m90 up to m160 springs

    Plus one on this, would be useful to know.

    Short of putting it in a rifle which has a known spring and fps (preferably a quick change one) and getting a rough idea of fps output, I cant think of any way of doing it.

      Maybe if you measured the compressed force and did some fancy maths, but then maths was never my strong point ha! I've got about five springs I have no idea of the rating of.

        This might be helpful,
        Based on reading taken from Prometheus Springs (which are true to their rating and considered one of the highest quality springs on the market)

        60mm and 130mm compression respectively.

        MS80 - 5.0kg - 1.8kg
        MS90 - 8.0kg - 2.0kg
        MS100 - 8.5kg - 2.2kg
        MS110 - 9.0kg - 3.0kg
        MS120 - 10kg - 3.5kg
        MS135 - 12kg - 4.0kg
        MS150 - 15kg - 5.0kg
        MS170 - 17kg - 6.0kg
