VFC 417 mag issues

Hello all,

It seems a well known issue that the vfc 417 aeg mid caps dont feed very well, but i havnt found any info on why, or advice on a solution. Any one had the same problems and sorted it? Also, would at least be interested in how to open these things up, no obvious screws/latches etc, im one step away from trying my luck with a pin hammer.

You have to remove the base plate (its only slipped on - a bit tight) and then the decals...After that you will see screws! I had the same issues with my 417...My solution was, not to overfill the mags - only about 40 bbs per mag!

Excellent cheers mate. i was tempted to force them off but thought better of it. I found a couple of guys on another forum discussing this, and a potential solution. they suggest removing the inner part and the fake rounds then tightly wrapping the internal part of the mag with tape as apparently it comes apart ever so slightly when full. i haven't tried this myself but thought id mention it.

I tried the tape method and it makes absolutely no difference.
