  • G36 feed problem

I recenTly aquired a g36 AEG; being.told a new gearbox would.fix the feed.problems however it has not; a bb will.happily.drop.through the mag well when.seperate from.the gub and will happily drop.into the chamber without the magwell attached; any ideas on.what the problem could.be.or.how.to fix it?

    Many Thanks in Advance

A new gearbox to solve a feed problem...interesting!

Some questions so that we can try to help you:

    1. What make is the G36?
    2. What make are the magazines?
    3. Are you using G36 magazines or does it have an M4 magwell fitted?
    4. Does the gun have the original hop unit fitted?
    5. Are the BBs leaving the magazine?
    6. Are the BBs entering the hop unit?

As far as i know the makes is JG unsure of the mags got a feeling its a cheap one tbh and they are G36 mags; and as far as i know its the orginal hop up was only used once befored bbs do.leave the mag; from what ive worked out to get it to work the mag well doesnt site flush with the hop.unit inside?

Is the nozzle going in and out the front of the gearbox as you fire it?
Have you tries turning the hop fully off?
Try these aswell as what was mentioned above

            Re: G36 feed problem

With the gun fully assembled turn the gun upside down, feed some bbs manually into the chamber and fire it (in a safe direction) while applying a slight bit of pressure on the bbs you entered into it if they move slightly in and out then the nozzle maybe too long, or the tappet plate might be worn on the gear it relates to. The nozzle might be sticking to the cylinder head as it moves even though it appears to be moving enough! Its a very small window in which the BBs have to go into a nozzle with 1.5mm longer then standard can cause feeding issues. If not that then check out the hop rubber as mentioned above :P

Its also worth cheching your wires are not interfering with the nozzle/mag well. GL
