  • Buffer tube not lining up

    Hi,

I have a G&G GC16 (30 anniversary edition) and after doing some upgrades, (spring, piston and motor) coming back to put the buffer tube back in, and the screen in the buffer tube doesn't line up with the hole in the back of the gearbox. I can't seem to get the gearbox to move at all, and all the pins holding it to the receiver are secured in the right position.

Any ideas on whether the screws in the back of the receiver are likely to ever get dislodged? (i.e. needing a new gearbox) or whether there are any other ways of getting the female end of the screw to re-align?

    Thanks

    Andy

Is the spring guide seated properly in the gearbox?

Re: Buffer tube not lining up

I'd have thought so, as the gearbox was stripped and rebuilt by my local team's gun tech, but possibly not. It's one of the annoying G&G gearboxes with the screws on the wrong side, and half of them cross threaded. I will pull it apart and try realign it and try threading something into it before it goes back in the reviewer.

      Thanks so much
