Noob question about cylinders
1 October, 2015, 20:30
hi, i'm considering upgrading my aeg to have a longer barrel and i subsequently require a new cylinder, i have a v2 gearbox. My question is: do i need a new gearbox/gearbox casing to accommodate the new cylinder? or does this not matter.
sorry if this has been answered else where, thanks in advance!

Re: Noob question about cylinders
All the cylinders are the same size for a v2 gearbox, however you need to get the right number of ports on cylinder for the barrel length.

What length barrel are you going to, and what do you currently have?

Re: Noob question about cylinders
Size wise, they are all the same. However, you need to match the cylinder to the barrel capacity (length). Essentially the longer the barrel (larger capacity) the further back (or absent) the porting needs to be on the cylinder.
