Not cycling on single with a lipo
6 December, 2015, 16:09
Evening chaps. I bought a new ics sig 552 last weekend. Had some trouble with the single shot. It does appear to cycle completely with once pull of the trigger. You can visibly see the nozzle doesn't cycle back. However this only happens when running a lipo. When I'm using a bog standard 8.4v Nimh it works fine! However because of the size of the battery compartment I cannot use a Nimh without a battery bag or the like.
Anyone have any idea what could be causing this? Just to clarify, I have also converted the gun to deans.
Any help appreciated!
Thanks,
Will

Eh ? What burst is your Lipo ?
You using something like a 8c RC transmitter battery ???
Or nigh on dead Lipo or something...
2200mah 25c 7.4v pulls most stuff m130 full stroke
DSG & all sorts of stuff so really can't figure why your Lipo is no good

Re: Not cycling on single with a lipo
Re reading your post again....
If I got it right it fires OK but nozzle doesn't return fully
Me thinks it has returned fully and due to more grunt it is already started to prepare to pull back to load the next bb.
Not quite over run, the tappet plate/nozzle start to retract again just as sector gear starts to get ready to engage piston once again.
Well actually the tappet is about 50% withdrawn as sector/piston start to mesh
So I think your gun fires OK, and nozzle fully returns but by the time the power is cut it has started to retract again
Different motor/spring in other guns may slow motor quicker than another gun
AB MOSFET, short stroke + higher spring, gearing
Loads of reasons why some run on a bit more than others
