30 December, 2015, 17:58
Right have acquired a VZ58 compact
Have tried every battery I own and not one bloody fits, the cocking tube is too narrow
Wondering if anyone on here has any knowledge to share

Re: Ares VZ58 battery question
Bit of a necro, but are you still needing to know?
If not, I'm sure others may be!
You need a battery that measures:
15.8mm long
12.3mm wide
10.6mm Thick
Or smaller.
Those are the dimensions of the batteries I use; and while they're still a bit of a PITA to get in, they DO go.

Hi Can you recheck the size please as 1.5cm long seems err....not very long. Should it read 158mm?

Derp, yes I messed up, sorry; and now I've checked I'm not sure where those dimensions have come from unless I got mixed up with another one on a website!
Got a battery in front of me and a set of digital calipers:
16.08mm wide
12.51mm tall
108.35mm long
These just about fit in, if you're careful with the wires!

I use a 7.4v 1000mah 20c. Fits nicely.
