Periodic Sluggish Firing
11 January, 2016, 20:27
G&P MK18 Base
Played my first game in over a year yesterday (Sun10th) and it seems that on full auto fire the AEG will periodically shoot very sluggishly with a labouring sound. IT will then return to standard rate of fire after a few seconds or if I stop shooting and start again. The gearbox also locked up more than usually on semi after the sluggish fire too.
The AEG has not been used in over a year, so that game was its first outing in a long time, same for the batteries. I made an effort to always keep my lipo batteries with a state of charge in them. They do still hold charge fine and I checked them with a meter before and after the game day. The readings were fine and they held ample charge even after a full days play.
Could this long storage period have affected the AEG e.g. internals, seals, lubricants? Maybe it needs to get back into the swing of things and 'warmed up' again
Thanks for replies

Re: Periodic Sluggish Firing
My first thought would be your battery, I'd be inclined to use someone else's as a tester, if you don't have an alternative

Re: Periodic Sluggish Firing
If you have a wattmeter/multimeter, pull the motor out and run it unladen for a little while, see what its pulling. Under no load there would be no reason for it to be pulling more than 4 amps, if it is then its rekd.
