Help - removing G&G GC16 Raider gearbox

Hi, having a spot of bother getting the gearbox out of this thing.. I've checked the exploded view and it appears to show a removable pin just next to the mag release, but this doesn't seem to budge. I applied a fair bit of pressure, but didn't want to push too hard. Any advice? TiA

I would add that you may need a little help from a small punch and Mr hammer. It will come out one way a lot easier than the other so if it wont budge try from the other side.
