Charging Handle Spring
21 March, 2016, 13:15
Hi all!
My G&P M4's charging handle spring has worn out. I guess it was my enthusiasm at pretending to cock it. I was wondering if or where I could get a replacement, or maybe if there's a bodge job I could do.
Cheers
Gabe

Ah, I see. Are you allowed to give me a clue or will the mods not allow it?

Re: Charging Handle Spring
I'm not even kidding on this one, I had a friend replace my old one with a spring from a pen and it works perfectly! Just make sure its tight enough

Re: Charging Handle Spring
I think my brother tried that before but that wore out pretty fast. Also I want the spring to be strong so it's really satisfying.

Re: Charging Handle Spring
Okay guys, to get a mad strength spring, I'm going bespoke (depending on price). Does anyone know the dimensions of a charging handle spring? And maybe the strength of the spring.
I know it's a long shot.
Cheers
Gabe

Re: Charging Handle Spring
Funny you should ask this, I found a post on another forum regarding common hardware items that can be used. The charging handle spring is the following: Steel music wire extension springs, unplated with loop ends, 1.5" long, 7/32" OD, 0.023" Wire, Spring rate 1.2 lbs/inch.
