MP5 AEG battery cable routing
6 May, 2016, 22:40
Hi Guys,
Just purchased an SRC MP5 AEG, and the mags won't lock into place, and it wont fire BB's. I "think" its because the battery wires than come from under the front stock seem to be running through the magazine opening, so the mags are not able to be pushed all the way in? Does anyone have one of these that can check for me? Also, if this is the issue, anyone got any procedures for stripping and also the correct routing of the wiring?

If you've just bought it why haven't you contacted the seller?

Why do you assume I haven't? (i have)
I am looking for advice from the wider community on how to resolve it as opposed to just making it the sellers issue, and having to return it etc, especially if its only a 5 minute fix to strip and re-route the wire?

The cable runs inside the mag well, pressed up against the gearbox.

Also, just noticed, when you put the safety on and pull the trigger the safety moves to single fire. That seems wrong for a safety

Yours may have the same Safety switching to semi fire issue as the G&G MP5 gearboxes, there is a quick and easy way to fix this but does involve you opening your gearbox.
