Heavy Brass Recoil Units for Tokyo Marui Next Generation
15 July, 2016, 06:09
I found somebody willing to make a heavy brass recoil unit for the Tokyo Marui Next Generation Recoil Shock series. Apparently, these units are as good as, if not better, than the discontinued Airsoft Research Syndicate SURUS heavy recoil unit as it can be configured as a "floating" (two springs to reduce the impact force like ARS SURUS) or "fixed" (similar to original TM design) unit.
However, the machinist only makes these heavy brass recoil units in batches of at least six to minimize costs. Are there any other TM NGRS owners willing to join a group buy for these recoil units?
You'll need to upgrade your gearbox as if you were using the ARS SURUS. In other words, Prometheus double torque gears (or equivalent), spring guide, piston, and Eagle6/Echigoya recoil spring. From what I understand, there will be little to no increased wear provided the gearbox is upgraded properly.

These units will only fit AR-pattern Recoil Shocks (Recce, SOPMOD, SOCOM, CQBR, HK416D and HK416 Devgru) with the ARS/Echigoya buffer tube, and the HK417 with the factory buffer tube. The ARS/Echigoya buffer tube can be purchased from
