    M16 Patriots

    Right, well I've been thinking about getting a gun just for CQB. So, I was thinking about all the small stubby M4's and so on but lastnight I was playing MGS3 and it dawned on me, I want a Patriot. Perhaps one of the coolest armalites ever.

    How would you go about sticking one together?

    I've got some ideas but I'd like to see what everyone thinks about how to put one together. I'll be sticking to the madbull kit because that looks the best.

    Only concered about what donor gun to use or what reciver/gearbox to mix and match. I'd prefer to stick to a donor gun. Much less hassle for my inexperianced hands.

    ICS M4 CQB looks like a good choice...

      Mine is a CA donor with the Madbull kit but it needs an MP5k cylinder (which I've still not got round to yet! ) and a custom battery to replace the PEQ battery box I stuck on it to get it going.

        how big is the battery space in the kit? I cant find any decent info about what size of batteries will be able to fit in it.

          Turns out ICS bodies wont fir without alot of modding.

          Looks like I'll need to find a doner CA or JG.

            How reliable are G&P? Do they use TM hopup units?

              well G&P are extremely reliable- and will take a TM hop

              there is a patriot kit that takes a battery in the stock tube (or get a custom one made)

              and then a c mag :P - and some loudspeakers to play the snake eater tune

                I have that kit, or at least its on its way.

                I'm working on a PA system to fit into a hydration pack for that very song too :p

                  could always get a lipo to power them :P and as for a donor gun, i think the stubby killer has the right barrel length for the short kit (the version used in MGS3) plus (as far as i know) its rear wired... tho best to check that last bit

                    No it wont.
                    G&P's use a one piece metal hop unit. TM's have two piece hop unit which wont fit metal bodies.

                      well if G&P hopups arnt matches with TM I might have to go CA cause the PDI kit Ive got needs a TM hopup to get it to fit.
