Need some technical advice regarding my AUG A3

Hi lads.

Recently bought a JG Steyr Aug A3 here @ Zero In.

Unfortunatly Ive had a stroke of bad luck it would seem.
Im pretty sure the gun was working spot on when I
recieved it but I took it to my airsoft site and ran into
a number of problems.

1st: Its shooting at 250fps :eek: seems it should be firing more like 320
2nd. It fires two pellets at a time (occasionaly)
3rd: The hop-up unit is buggered, in that, it doesnt work at all.

Im not in the know, when it comes to the troubleshooting of AEGs
and what im really after is a kind of improvement plan. I want the
gun shooting at 320 ~ 330, but under no circumstances beyond
350, I dont tend to spray and pray anymore so when I shoot, I want
it shooting consistantly in a straight line.

Any ideas how I might go about troubleshooting the issue
and ultimatly getting the gun to a decent standard?

you need to just watch a few hop disassembly vids on you tube to get familiar with the hop unit, then really just look at that, crazy low fps is always a hop problem. with the airnozzle not making a good seal.

start there till you can safely say the hop units perfect..

Just spoke to someone on here in PM, regarding the
issue. I dont want to just swap out one item and
hope for the best, because I live a fair distance
from my airsoft site and dont want to be left dissapointed.

My property is not sufficiently large enough to test the gun.

Im going to replace the hop up system with an all
metal version from G&P. I'll get a madbull hop ruber
and bucking, along with a black python tight bore barrel.
I'll get a Guarder SP100 Spring and a metal feed nipple.
I'll also go for a gearbox service from a decent place here
in Belfast.

That should resolve my problems I reckon =)
