Locking a gearbox in semi only

Can someone tell me the best method of locking a gearbox into semi automatic only.
The gearbox in question is a Version 2 from an M16

Drill a small hole a thread a grub screw into the side of the gearbox that blocks the selector plate from being moved into the full auto position.

this is what im going to do, as sometimes the gun can jam and you may need to switch to full auto to clear and i wouldnt want to strip the gearbox down
