Re: Star M249
well im no techie but i can suggest a few ideas, barrel is not clean, hop up maybe damaged or similar, the rof is to low so keeps the nozzle back to long so to many bbs go into the barrel, perhaps there is a problem with the magazine, i hope that maybe this helps but i never used an m249 or seen the internals so it is a bit difficult

Re: Star M249
Sometimes got this with my CA249 due to excessive hop up. The round would stop of the hop up, the next shot would force it though so it would roll down.
The other way this can happen is if the tappet plate has a fault. When mine was wee'ing bb's down the end, the spring between the tappet plate and gear box failed with the nozzle retracted. As the box wound on it would just feed lots of bbs down the end or fire with a couple of meters range (due to the air pressure being dissipated).

Check over-hop first.

Re: Star M249
Anything like this is usually hop up / tappet plate system related.
You have to understand that the only reason there is a tappet plate / moving airnozzle installed is too feed bbs. So if theres ever a problem with feeding bbs it really does narrow down the area to be looking at..

Re: Star M249
Heh, exactly the same fault as mine
I replaced mine with one from a Halfords multi spring box as it was convenient.
