Need a new G/box for my G&P M16A3
12 May, 2009, 19:21
Are there any known compatibility issues with other makes, looking at CA, ICS etc, any recommendations?
I would just buy a new G&P one, but cannot find a supplier anywhere?
Any help would be much appreciated.
Cheers,
Jonathan

ICS, I doubt it, they have a split gearbox design that is just screaming to cause problems.
Ca, probably. Sorry I can't be of more help here. 90% sure.
Best bet if you're going to splash out is to get a systema one. If you're on a budget, TM.

Re: Need a new G/box for my G&P M16A3
Long story, but basically it died, i can't remember exactly what it was that broke, but something did inside and the guys at my local shop tried all they could to get it going again but it's still not right 100%, so will get a new one and sell the old one for spares.
Which company did you get yours from? PM me if you don't want to get told off by the mods, and how much did you pay for shipping, any import tax?
Cheers,
JB

I'm one for quality and reliability, this is my main gun so want it to be the best it can be.
I can't stand things rattling or need shimming , so i guess a G&P would prob be the best bet in the end...

Systema's fit without rattling in a G&P. Why not try the new Systema Revolution?

Re: Need a new G/box for my G&P M16A3
Pretty sure even G&P gearboxes allow the top receiver to move side to side. My old G&P SPR did.
Perhaps inserting a fake bolt (like on maruis) would space the receiver-gearbox gap, and help.

If you can't fix what's wrong with the current gearbox, get a new techy.
