G36 Selector plate removal

Quick question, do you need to disassemble the gearbox to remove/replace the selector plate on a G36

nope, its on the outside of the gearbox, you just have to remove it(the gearbox) from the pistol grip...you dont actually have to take it all the way out for that either just pull it out enough to give yourself access to the selector plate.
back in the game after 12 months away!

not really, just shift the selector so that its in the full auto position (towards the front) and you should be able to either lift it off&out from the motor side, or just pass it all the way out of the front if the wire isnt in the way, it depends on exactly how your is setup wire wise etc, but it shouldn't be too tricky
