    Hi
Probably been asked a million times but cant seem to find an answer
Have a new replacement SP100 spring for my TM Sig it is a good 1.5 inches longer than the original.
Do I cut it down to the same size or fit as is?
    Any help appreciated.
    Thanks

Nope this is normal for non linear springs - do not cut the spring - at full stroke, the wider and tighter spaced coils are variable rate through the compression stage.
With non linear springs being designed for full stroke, it’s not advised to start removing some of the effective stages of the springs design.

Whilst cutting a few coils can reduce the FPS it’s not advised in any case, choosing a spring closer to the intended muzzle output is a much better option for sound operation and better efficiency. Also if you start clipping coils, the spring must be closed correctly to prevent binding.

Also, bare in mind that the SP100 is also stronger than the Stock Spring. I’m assuming Guarder is the spring brand here?
