Thompson air seal nozzle
9 May, 2020, 18:28
I have been having some FPS issues on my old TM Thompson so I am going to give it a bit of a tune up.
I can’t seem to find anywhere an air seal nozzle in the UK there are plenty abroad but delivery time and delivery cost is huge haha!
I see that the nozzle is 20.2mm and I’ve seen some other nozzles that are very close to that size like 20.5mm would that be so much of a problem??

If you cannot find the exact length nozzle, you can remove a small amount of material from the front end of the tappet face (and potentialy tappet fin) so that it returns slightly further forwards, however you must make these trims very carefully. Also be sure that if you are using another type of nozzle that the actual profile is correct for the thompson chamber as the nozzle may not fit or the alignment may be skewed by the pressure of the feed which would cause potential feed and or sealing issues.
