Barrel lengths?
3 October, 2010, 15:34
Hi folks
looking at fitting a tight bore to my P90 project, i have added a 4 inch spacer and also a silencer so i can now fit a 590mm barrel, will this increase the range and accuracy of the gun ??
Im looking at using it as a counter sniper and light support weapon as if it is fitted with a box mag

To a certain extent, but remember to get a new rubber aswell. Like buying a car with no fuel.

yeah forgot to say the hop unit is going to be upgraded as well, the idea is to be using .25 minimum but most likely .3 bb's

Lol just want to out range most things on the field and still hit the target im shooting at
plus if they actually feel it hit them that would be nice too

Re: Barrel lengths?
Hate to ruin the party....
- Barrel length has little to no effect in airsoft, unlike real steel.
- Running .3's on the site limits (328 with .2) is going to be one slow BB!

Then what is the point of running a longer barrel then in sniper rifles and so forth then
if that was the case surely they would be short too
now the great barrel debate can start lol

I beg to differ, I put a £10 element TB in my MP5 and the accuracy changed dramaticly then I put in a guarder clear and it was
insane
!
Does change it.

Re: Barrel lengths?
Basically because they are copies of the real thing. So if you want the mag to go in the right place, the barrel needs to be as long as the real one.
It's been done to death, but the best options are a good tightbore, .25 BB's, good hop rubber and consistent FPS.
@ Montesa77: How does you putting a tightbore in a MP5 show a longer barrel gives better range and accuracy?!?!?!?
