gears locking
21 May, 2009, 01:27
the gearbox on my jg g36c keeps locking up.. ive upgraded it with a number of parts including the bushing the cyclinder head the piston and the pistonhead, and the parts seem to be funcitionable and working well.
all it takes is a simple 5-10 minute gearbox reassembly to fix but im not sure why it keeps happening. it's only happened twice but its not soemthing i really want to have to worry about

Re: gears locking
im pretty sure my gearbox wouldnt close if it wasnt aligned, and it does run for a while until it happens!
gonna see if it happens again, if it does i will probs fully strip and fully regrease rather than just a quick reassembly

Re: gears locking
Locking on what way?
May well be badly fitting brushings, or it needs re-shimming.

Re: gears locking
Or (as suggested) it may just need a good clean. Clean gearboxes work better.
