A&k sr25 Hop Up Problem

ok so.
baught a&K sr25 hop up was poor, baught a systema hop up unit and its still pretty poor.

all installed correctly, bucking in barrel right way up etcet, just a bit lost now?!

can anybody help!

Did you replace the rubber and nub?

Clean the barrel it may be full of residue.

barrel is claen.
old rubber but new nub just baught a new rubber so wait and see how that goes.

rust baught a new systema hop up unit bucking and rubber still no luck getting any hopup! help

have a look at the hop unit without the barrel,

see if the nub is pushing down on the hop rubber,

if it is try again, making sure the barrel is upright the hop rubber has a small squirt of silicone lube on the outside of the rubber

as i twist the hop up it moves up and down but its pretty minimal, i can see it pushing through the barrel cut out for the hop up but set at the max its barely poking through and seems to be about half strength if that makes sense?

Hmmm maybe the hop unit is picky about what nubs it accepts, probably not the case, but maybe. Try using a little slice of the plastic tube inside a biro as a nub if you can, see if that has a better effect? If so, maybe a new nub is needed.

However, i'd be surprised if a System hop unit wouldn't like a systema nub, especially if it came with it. It's quite hard to judge how well or not it's working without seeing it, I don't suppose a picture is a possibility?

Try a really soft hop rubber a purple firefly is what i use on my VSR

ok i used a biro nub instead seems allot more prominent whilst adjusting the hop i shall enlighten you of my test results tomorrow.
bloody hope it works ive got a skirmish Sunday!

Glad it helped mate, must be a compatibility issue between your hop up and nub, nothing like a good old bit of biro though .

yeah bloody strange though. a whole new hop up unit with the nub included and it wasn't having any of it! biros a wee bit hard though, too much and i start getting jams, thank god its not my rifle. hahah
