Stick to a 7.4v lipo and save your internals/trigger contacts

As above.
I tried 11.1v in mine not long ago and it over ran and miss fed like a b^%#h, and as im not confident with fitting a mosfet to it i dropped down to 7.4v.

7.4 will be plenty of power, if you want higher rof fit a high speed motor

Re: 7.4 or 11.4 lipo
i ran a 11.1 in my ics cxp, ran approx 5500 rounds through it before the pinion and bevel gear wore and slipped.
rof is
crazy and sounds awsum to, new pinion and bevel gears now though, just need those uprating for starters then see what else breaks

Same gun here - will the 7.4V lipo be about the same as a 9.6V normal battery?

Not if you use the little stock tube ones they will not be up to 9.6 power.

Re: 7.4 or 11.4 lipo
ran a 7.4 in a mates G&P magpul m4 and then one of my 11.1....and i gotta say the ROF and sound of the piston on single shot was snappier and much improved.
for an ICS unupgraded internals, stick with the 7.4 until you have a torque up kit and or hi speed motor...
