Pistol Grip Compatability for KAC PDW

I have a Dboys PDW.Lovely little number in general. However as with all the PDW's on the market the pistol grip is quite small.

Just wondered if its only KAC PDW style grips that will fit, or would the Magpul MOE ones also fit?

yep they fit, have a magpul moe grip on the pdw that ive just sold, looks fantastic aswell!

just to add, the PDW grips look brilliant on m4's aswell! so if you have both guns its win win! lol

You will prob need a longshaft motor.
The PDW uses a med shaft motor but if you switch it for a MOE grip you'll require a long shaft motor.

....it went straight on, no mods or change of motors required

The standard KAC pdw has a med size motor if your going for a m4 type grip you WILL need a long shaft motor but as said it will will fit

Sunburnthammer mine and bleedout's advise not sound ?? I had the Dboys KAC PDW that is a direct copy of the VFC KAC PDW

what power motor did you use? not wanting to destroy the gearbox..

your advice might be sound but are you saying that he WILL need a different motor based on first hand experience?

i had a vfc and it was a complete straight swap, moe grip off my m4 straight onto my pdw and the pdw grip straight onto the m4, no problems what so ever.

Well ultimately there is only one way to find out, i will post the results in due course.

Now having sold one problem, have a look at my battery charger thread, another cry for help from yours truly

Yes from my own Dboys PDW.. , the first post he asked if an after market grip will fit ( yes it will but his standard motor will be very lose in the grap as the standard PDW use;s a med size motor and not a long as used in standard m4/16's...

you say you used a MOE grip with a med size motor in it ?? or did you swap your motors aswell very intrested to hear how

nope used the same motors, infact i wouldnt have swapped the grips if i had to change motors because the vfc one is fantastic. odd how you had to change yours?? i didnt have any issues what so ever?


also as a side note - the pdw grip went straight onto my m4 with no problems (using an eg1000 long shaft motor)

ps your not from bristol are you ? more to the point any pic's of the pdw?
