AK74MN Recoil
15 November, 2010, 15:36
Does anyone know how the blowback/recoil is setup on this gun?
I have bought it off of someone I know and have realised that the recoil function will work sometimes but not all times.
I was wondering if it was operated electrically or via the airpressure created by the piston.
I will be taking it apart soon but not until after my next woodland game as I want to test it out fully before I start messing with it.

Re: AK74MN Recoil
As far as I know it is a hook. The bolt is connected to a tab on the top of the gearbox that is engaged by the piston. So when the piston moves back, so does the bolt.

Re: AK74MN Recoil
Ah ok, that simple.
In that case I think it must be a case of something running a touch tight in there so that some times it moves other times it gets caught.
Thanks
