Re: is this motor faulty?
It will slow down as the carbon brushes are creating friction on the commutator =/

Re: is this motor faulty?
Dream army aren't known for their quality so it may well just be a bad motor. Was it new or second hand? If it was new send it back as it is most definitely faulty.

Re: is this motor faulty?
motors are ment to have a bedding in period you could try and wear down what evers cuasing the scretching, or it could be a broken bearing in which case youll never win.

Re: is this motor faulty?
Exactly as Richard says.
If it is a bearing you can get spares, if it is the bushes it may just need bedding in. Believe it or not, the best way to do that is submerge it in water and use a low voltage. I've never tried it, so I don't know the full details so please
don't
just dump it in the sink with an 11.1...lol...
It is also possible there is a small piece of something fallen into the motor. A little bit of carefull dissmantling and an inspection will tell you.
There's nothing wrong with Dream Army motors they are another of the Systema clone type motor and seem to work fine for me.
They are similar to the Element, SHS, 5KU etc motors.

Re: is this motor faulty?
Look at the commutator where the bushings are are , When you pull the trigger is there much sparking at all?
Also turn the motor your self from the pinion gear , Listen closely whilst turning it as you might be able to make out where the noise is coming from :D
