TM G3A3 firing intermittently
28 November, 2010, 12:56
Hi all, wanted some help with my Tokyo Marui G3A3 - yesterday in game, occasionally the gun would simply stop firing completely; pulling the trigger gave no response whatsoever, then shaking it seemed to make it work again for a bit. Any ideas and help?

Re: TM G3A3 firing intermittently
Will do. Think it might be motor connections or something closer to the gearbox, since when I opened it, all the wiring up to the GB seems fine; connectors all attached fully etc. Since it's two weeks until I go back to my site, should I take it apart to check for faults? And if they aren't obvious, what am I looking for?
Since I can't reliably use this, and my G36c is missing its c-clip, I'm down to a £23 shotty and an AEP Deagle :P Good fun, but not very effective... Don't really want to be stuck with this next week too.

Re: TM G3A3 firing intermittently
A guy at my local skirmish site had this, and the connectors were falling apart on the inside, try replacing them if you can't find anything else wrong with it and see what happens.

I've checked the connectors on the inside, they're fine.

Re: TM G3A3 firing intermittently
took it apart, and I think it's the motor connections; the black spade connector seems pretty loose and I think it may have come off the last time I took it apart.

Re: TM G3A3 firing intermittently
i have seen trouble with motor connectors before, had one that actually broke "inside"the rubber sheath(ahem),so it looked ok from outside but was broken on the inside.some fun!!

Ouch! But seriously, putting the G3A3 back together from the hop unit is effing annoying... I've mostly done it but I've got a spare screw. Which I have no idea about... FML
