Acm p90 feeding issue
8 December, 2010, 15:43
I've had an ACM P90 red dot for about a year but it has never worked right.
It has a Laylax tight bore and hop rubber and a TM hop unit.
The gear box is standard but has been cleaned and re lubed.
The problem is feeding, some times it work's fine, or double triple feeds, or just doesn't feed at all.
When I take the mag off I lose the 3 bb's sitting on the hole they feed into and I can then fire out the one in the chamber.
I am using
60 round low cap it comes with (this works 99% of the time)
150 round silver back (quite crap)
300 round clone high cap (very crap but work fine 1 time with .2 bio bb's)
I've tried BAW, Cheap, Zero one and Bio BB's
.20 and .25's
All have the same problem.
Any body out there able to help and let me know what I can do?

Re: Acm p90 feeding issue
Hey, I have the ACM P90 as well.
Mine also double feeds with some mags, I had a high-cap (not to sure on the brand) it was 300 round and it didn't feed at all.
I not 100% sure what you can do but if you buy a ACM M4 magazine adapter that allways feeds with me what ever m4 mag i put it in, It's well worth the money.

Re: Acm p90 feeding issue
I'm not keen on the M4 mag adapter as I love the look of the P90.
I was hoping there was a magic part from a TM or CA p90 I could buy to put in it.
Failing that maybe getting a CA sportline and putting my metal front end onto the CA back.
But I don't know if I'll have the same feeding issues with that.

I guess a CA back, From what i've seen they feed quite well.
I've allways loved the m4 mag adapters, You can use it as a box mag as well you know?

Re: Acm p90 feeding issue
Ive got a CA sportline model that I've upgraded quite abit. To my frustration I have had very similar feeding issues to yourselves. Only in the last couple of days do I think, no hope I have the problems solved.
I replaced the nozzle and tappet plate as these were worn, fitted a gear delayer and fully dissasembled and lubed my MAG mid caps. I did notice that the hop up unit needed to be slightly reseated as it wasn't quite in alignment with the feeding nozzle of the magazines. Two days ago I managed to unload a low cap mag and four 170 rnd midcaps with no misfeeds, the MAG midcaps double fed but searching on line I've read that they settle down after a while. I hope.
