  • high speed burning

    hope you guys can solve a problem for me i have put a guarder high speed motor in a ics m4 but it seems to be killing batterys realy fast also the mini tamiyas are getting stupidly hot one of them even has a hole melted through it.. should i have upgraded the wiring some how or the connectors why is it killing batterys as big as 3300mah in 10 mins? confused :s

    Also did you put the ICS pinion gear on the new motor?

        That should be your first port of call.
        That is one of many things that is different with ICS.

          will need a gear puller to swap them over though wont i? damn ics make everything dificult dont they.... still love them though.

                looks like you were right bout the pinion gear it does definatly look quite a bit smaller than the ics one does i wouldnt have even have thought to look at that, though im still not sure why that makes the batteries die so fast

                  Because it is smaller therefore less teeth so it has less resistance so spins faster using more battery current to spin it round

                    Personaly i was thinking more resistance due to the incompatible teeth size.

                      how about you just lower the height of the bevel gear if the guarders smaller..

                        You have got to stop keep pulling the trigger if the gear box doesnt cycle.
