Handguards

this may be a silly question but i think theres no harm in double-checking and being 100% right than getting it wrong so....

if i want to change A2 handguards on a Classic Army M16A2 to A1 style handguards do i need to do anything or will it be a quick change over, im only asking as they are a different shape... (i assume ill need a new bracket by the foresight to secure the handguards?)

also, could i use any make, even real steel, A1 handguards on a Classic Army M16. they dont have dimension issues like ICS guns ?
