21 December, 2010, 20:25
Well after weeks of thinking about what gun I have gone for a Dboys PDW.
So my question is what should I look to replace?
I will change the hop and rubber (what should i go for) as I have herd they are not so hot but is there anything else I should be looking at?
Cheers all

Re: Dboys PDW upgrades
mine was fine using good quality bb,s. (excell .25) the ics bb,s are pants and cause feed issues.
you will have to downgrade fps as mine was 390fps out the box on a .20

What spring would you advise so she is firing at about 330fps?

A motor upgrade seems to be fairly popular as well

Re: Dboys PDW upgrades
i fitted a m100 in mine which gave 340fps max, motor wise im standard running a 11.1v lipo for over a year.
even with a 7.4v lipo my rate of fire is good.

Re: Dboys PDW upgrades
fitting an 11.1v lipo in any gun you must be prepared to take the risk of damage .
if you single shot alot and you are carefull on full auto you should be fine ,i have been.
i use the vanaras peq 15 as a battery box on mine, origionally i used the 7.4 but the c-rating and mah rating are to low for a m100 spring.
the supplied peq box looks bloody awfull fitted to the gun, but you could go for the lipo conversion that fits in the ris

I had thought of the lipo conversion but at £100 its a little to steep for my pocket.

Re: Dboys PDW upgrades
My brother use's a shortstroked dboys pdw.
we only shortstroked it due to its heavy use at cqb.
but a peq15 lipo is the way forward. small enough not to ruin the look of the gun.
plus there cheap enough for a couple for biger games.
